Billings TrailNet proudly welcomes the Billings Family YMCA as its newest corporate member.
Billings TrailNet and the Y share the goals of creating safe places for our community to be active and healthy, and we couldn’t be more delighted to have the support of the YMCA as a corporate partner.
We applaud their focus on teenagers, and the addition of their new Teen Center, which provides a safe space for our community’s teens to engage, interact and play. As an exclusive environment for 12 to 18-year-olds, the Teen Center hopes to reduce teen crime in Billings by offering a multitude of different activities including Electronic Sports (Esports) area with gaming consoles, sports court for tournaments and pickup games, and a training area with specialized conditioning and coaching.
There are also additional programs for teens including Students That Lift, a Teen Training Zone Open Gym, and the Billings Brigade Esports team, which helps students learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills, and can also lead to scholarships down the line. Currently, the YMCA has raised $160,000 of their $200,000 goal, from generous grant funding. “We continue to improve on existing programs and create new innovative programs to best serve our members and the community,” said Kim Kaiser, Y CEO.

“We are thankful for the grant funding from FHLB of Des Moines, First Interstate Bank, First Interstate Bancsystem Foundation, Valley Credit Union, Treacy Foundation, Charles M. Bair Family Trust, and Cushing Terrell that allows us to create a safe space that offers alternative activities for teens during out-of-school time where they gain experience, grow, and thrive.”

The Y is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility and is currently a Billings TrailNet corporate member. We are proud to have a partnership with an organization that aligns in our mission and values to make our community more active and connected!
