BTN executive director Kristi Drake was happy to present a $10,000 check to Jennifer Duray with City of Billings Public Works at a recent City Council meeting.

The funds will help to develop the 5th Avenue North Corridor as a non-traditional motorized and non-motorized corridor connecting to the existing transportation system in the area and enhancing the surrounding community.

The railroad corridor is two miles long and stretches from MetraPark almost to the YMCA on North 32nd Street. A railroad spur along much of the corridor still serves a few businesses, though no tracks remain west of North 26th Street.

You can read more about this exciting multiuse path concept on this link to an article in Yellowstone Valley Woman magazine.
