Billings will see another small section of the Marathon Loop built within the next year when Billings Public Works Department makes improvements to Mullowney Lane. The half mile trail will make a nice connection between the Midland Rd. trail and the trail on Elysian Rd.
Mullowney will be re-striped with two driving lanes and a two-way left turn lane in the middle. There will be a multiuse trail on the east side of the road and a continuous sidewalk on the west side.
Says Debi Meling, the City’s Public Works Director, “Development south of Midland and South Frontage Road has exploded with subdivisions. This will make a good connection for residents living in those neighborhood to access nearby services and the school.”
