Harvest Worship Pastor and avid outdoorsman Casey Ramage has hiked many of the trails in the mountains surrounding Billings and throughout Montana. “One of my favorite trails is the The Beaten Path trail from Cooke City to East Rosebud,” he says. “This is where I realized the importance of trails!”As young newlyweds, Casey took his wife, Arieanna, on The Beaten Path, where he says they severely underestimated the difficulty. “After lots of boulder hopping and bushwhacking, we were finally at the top when it started to storm,” he tells us. “With no campsite, we had to boulder hop on rain-covered rocks to the other side of Black Canyon Lake and make due until we could hike out in the morning.”
He also recalls a stranger who helped them cross the river and warned them of a moose and her calf ahead. “It was a memorable experience, to say the least!” he exclaims.“Two of the four core values of Harvest Church are Community Focused and Fun Required,” Outreach Director Darian Armer tells us. “We support Billings TrailNet because trails help our community connect and they are a great way to get around safely or to simply have fun on! Family bike rides, walking and jogging are all more fun when you can do them safely on a trail,” she says.
