The City of Billings has applied again with the League of American Bicyclists to be a bicycle-friendly community. We were awarded BRONZE status a number of years ago, and are trying to make it to GOLD.
The LAB would like your input on Billings’ bike-friendliness. Criteria they use in deciding our bicycle friendly status include:
- Engineering (bike access to public transportation, total bicycle network mileage to total road network mileage, arterial streets with bike lanes)
- Education (public education and outreach, percent of primary and secondary schools offering bicycling education and annual offering of adult bicycling skills classes)
- Enforcement (law enforcement/bicycling liaison, bicycle-friendly laws/ordinances in place)
Please take their survey to help them determine where Billings should be, and your honesty is encouraged! When you take the survey you’ll probably see there’s a lot of work yet to do!
Please complete the survey by March 22, by selecting this link: https://www.bikeleague.org/community
