Fundraising is fun; especially when you have a project that everyone can get behind. The Stagecoach Trail will connect the greater part of Billings (the valley) to the Rims, and allow non-motorized access within Billings.

Billings has an opportunity to have a 26.2 mile loop around the city: from the Yellowstone River to the Heights, which encircles the neighborhoods and will provide access to these beautiful natural areas.

Bicyclists clamor for this loop to be completed; and Billings sees the potential to host races along this Marathon Loop.

The Stagecoach Trail is the next major connection, and this will enable and encourage more outdoor enthusiasm as we make it easier to connect with nature. This historic trail was originally blasted by the Zimmerman brothers in in the summer of 1890, where the ranching brothers sought to connect their corrals and haystacks down in the valley to rangeland on top of the Rims.
