Great news for the Stagecoach Trail!  The city of Billings has been awarded a $100,000 grant to help build the path alongside Zimmerman Trail that will connect the trails atop the Rims and in the Heights to the valley.  

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks announced the 2024 grant, which comes from the Montana Trail Stewardship program.  

Thirty-six communities, trail organizations and land-managing agencies received 2024 grants for their projects.  The TSP awards total about $2 million in state funds.  FWP administers TSP grants and the program is funded through a portion of Montana’s light motor vehicle registration fee and from the taxation of recreational marijuana.
