Thursday, Sept. 10 was a perfect day to learn that the City of Billings has been awarded $11.6 million from the Federal Government for two significant trails.
It’s the day before what would have been Ales for Trails!
As Covid 19 restrictions necessitated postponing the live event for a year, the news is particularly timely, and we are overcome with excitement.
The 2020 BUILD grant will build both the Skyline Trail and the Inner Belt Loop (with trail)!
It’s a big win.
Imagine riding through Coulson Park up to the Main Street Underpass, along Alkali Creek and up through Rehberg Ranch, intersecting with Highway 3 and heading down the Skyline Trail, past Swords Park and back to Coulson Park.
That will now be possible!!!
